How it is made
Processes
Needle punching
Carded fibre webs are mechanically entangled by barbed needles. The result is a strong, dimensionally stable felt whose density and thickness are set by the needling — the process behind our geotextiles, automotive felt and most of the range.
Thermal bonding
Heat fuses low-melt fibres within the web, locking the structure without adhesives. It gives a lighter, loftier material with a clean surface, used where softness and resilience matter.
Custom development
Where no standard material fits, fibre blend, density, surface finish, strength and softness are developed for the application — cushioning, filtration, insulation, protection, support, separation, sound absorption, drainage or decorative use.

Made to order
What we can tailor
Every material is produced to the buyer's specification. These are the parameters we set for each order:
- GSM, thickness, density, and width
- Polyester, polypropylene, viscose, recycled, or blended fibres
- Single colour, multi-colour, or customised colour shades
- Soft, firm, smooth, dense, or resilient fabric feel
- Custom roll length and packaging
- Surface finishing, lamination, embossing, and bonding compatibility
- Application-specific strength, permeability, and cushioning requirements
Ready for your line
Further processing
Our fabrics are suitable for further processing such as:
- Cutting
- Stitching
- Laminating
- Moulding
- Embossing
- Printing
- Die-cutting

Manufacturing: common questions
What is the difference between needle punching and thermal bonding?
Needle punching entangles a fibre web mechanically with barbed needles, giving a dense, dimensionally stable felt. Thermal bonding fuses low-melt fibre with heat, giving a lighter, loftier material. See the full comparison.
What roll widths and GSM can you produce?
Roll widths of 5.0–5.2 m and a 100–1200 GSM range.
What can be customised?
GSM, thickness, density and width; polyester, polypropylene, viscose, recycled or blended fibres; colour; fabric feel; roll length and packaging; surface finishing, lamination, embossing and bonding compatibility; and application-specific strength, permeability and cushioning.
What further processing are the fabrics suited to?
Cutting, stitching, laminating, moulding, embossing, printing, die-cutting and bonding.
