Middle East
Nonwoven felt supplier from India for Middle East importers.
Needle punched and thermal bonded nonwoven felt and geotextile, 100–1200 GSM, made to your specification and shipped from India to 4 markets across the Middle East.
We supply from one place: our manufacturing partner, Miracle Nonwoven Industries, in Phagi, Jaipur. You agree the specification with us, approve a sample, and the order is produced and shipped against it, so a question about the material is answered by the people who make it.
Destinations
Where we ship in the Middle East.
| Destination | Ports buyers commonly use | What they usually ask first |
|---|---|---|
| Oman | Sohar and Salalah | which port serves the project, and how rolls are packed for it |
| Qatar | Hamad Port (Doha) | the project specification and the delivery date a contractor is working to |
| Saudi Arabia | Jeddah and Dammam | any national conformity requirement for the product, stated before the order |
| United Arab Emirates | Jebel Ali, Khalifa Port (Abu Dhabi) and Sharjah | whether the order is for local use or re-export, and the documentation each needs |
What the material is used for
Across the Middle East.
Oman. Road, port and industrial-zone construction in Oman drives demand for geotextile and industrial felt, shipped through Sohar or Salalah.
Qatar. Construction and civil contractors in Qatar use geotextile and protective felt for ground works, landscaping and drainage.
Saudi Arabia. Large infrastructure and construction programmes make geotextile for separation, protection and drainage the grade Saudi buyers raise most often.
United Arab Emirates. Construction, landscaping and infrastructure make geotextile and protective felt the usual grades in the UAE, and Jebel Ali also supplies buyers who re-export across the region.
Geotextile and felt on Gulf sites.
Heat and sunlight. Polypropylene is sensitive to prolonged UV exposure, and on Gulf sites the sun is strong all year. Rolls are best kept in their wrap, off the ground and out of direct sun until they are laid, and the geotextile covered with fill soon after. Polyester also holds its properties to a higher temperature than polypropylene — see polyester vs polypropylene.
Sand and sabkha ground. Loose sand and soft, saline sabkha soils are common under Gulf roads, yards and platforms. A needle punched geotextile laid between the ground and the fill keeps the two apart; the GSM follows the fill and the traffic on top, as set out in geotextile GSM for road construction.
Local use or re-export. Many orders landing at Jebel Ali move on to other Gulf countries. Say which it is when you enquire, so the documents match the final destination; the HS code guide covers how nonwoven felt and geotextile are classified.

Middle East: what buyers ask us first
Which ports in the Middle East do you ship to?
We coordinate shipment to your port of choice. The ports buyers in the Middle East most often use are listed above, destination by destination. Tell us yours with the enquiry and we will confirm how the order ships.
Which countries in the Middle East do you supply?
Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. If your country is not listed, send the enquiry anyway — the material and the process are the same, and the destination mainly affects packing and paperwork.
What do buyers in the Middle East settle first?
It varies by destination — the table above sets out what each one usually asks about. Across the region it comes down to the specification, the paperwork your customs broker needs, and consistency from one shipment to the next.
How should geotextile rolls be stored on a Gulf site?
In their wrap, off the ground and out of direct sun until they are laid, then covered with fill soon after. Polypropylene is sensitive to prolonged UV exposure, so follow your project’s installation details for exposure limits.
Which geotextile is used over sabkha or loose sand?
A needle punched nonwoven geotextile, laid between the ground and the fill as a separation and filtration layer. The GSM depends on the fill and the traffic; send the project specification and we will quote against it.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It is agreed per order, as it depends on the material, GSM and how much is customised. Tell us the product and quantity you need and our export team will confirm it with your quote.
How soon is an order dispatched?
Usually 4–5 days from order confirmation to dispatch from Jaipur. Sea transit to your port comes on top of that and depends on the route and sailing.
Can you match a nonwoven we already buy?
Yes. Send the specification, or a sample if you have one, and we will quote against it. Fibre, GSM, thickness, width and colour can all be set to match.
Can we see a sample before ordering?
Yes, samples are free, to the Middle East as anywhere else; delivery time depends on where you are. Test the material in your own process before a bulk order.
